After graduating from Eton College, Hunter Maats was selected by Nobel Laureate James Watson, co-discoverer of the DNA double helix, to spend a year doing cancer research at the Cold Spring Harbor Lab. While there, he discovered just how often the divide in communication between the scientific community and the general public stands in the way of progress--an issue that would become the focus of his career.
After graduating cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in biochemistry, Hunter founded Overqualified Tutoring, an educational services company which applied the latest neuroscience and psychology to help students of all ages succeed.
